Creating customised solutions

As a dedicated professional, I am passionate about providing effective treatments and creating customised solutions for every individual I treat. During your consultation, I will assess your skin requirements and develop the best and most effective treatment plan tailored to your needs.

The laser scar reduction treatment works by delivering concentrated beams of light to the targeted area of the scar. The laser energy is absorbed by the scar tissue, which helps to break down the abnormal collagen fibers that make up the scar. This process stimulates the body’s natural healing response and triggers the production of new, healthy collagen.

Remodelling scar tissue

As the new collagen forms, it helps to remodel the scar tissue, gradually reducing its visibility and improving the overall texture and appearance of the skin. Laser scar reduction treatments are typically safe, non-invasive, and require minimal downtime.

Laser Scar Reduction is a non-invasive treatment that utilises advanced laser technology to minimise the appearance of scars. It works by delivering targeted energy pulses to the scarred area, stimulating collagen production and promoting the regeneration of healthy skin cells. This process helps to fade scars, improve texture, and restore the natural appearance of the skin.
At Elipsa, I utilise three different types of lasers for scar reduction: the Diode laser, Pico Laser, and E light – IPL and RF. The specific laser used will be determined during your consultation, as each skin requirement is unique.

How Does It Work?

How do the lasers work?

– Diode laser: The Diode laser targets the underlying causes of scar formation by stimulating collagen production and promoting skin rejuvenation. It specifically addresses scar tissue, resulting in improved texture and color.

– Pico Laser: The Pico Laser emits ultra-short pulses of energy, which stimulate the production of collagen and elastin fibers. This leads to the reduction of scar appearance and improvement in overall skin texture.

– E light – IPL and RF: The E Light laser combines Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) with Radio Frequency (RF) energy. This dual-energy approach targets both superficial and deeper layers of the skin, effectively reducing scars and promoting skin rejuvenation.

The Diode laser, Picosure, and E Light laser are highly effective in scar reduction due to their precision, control, and ability to target specific skin concerns. These advanced technologies promote collagen production, stimulate skin regeneration, and yield long-lasting results.

The frequency of laser scar reduction treatments will depend on the severity of the scar and your individual response to the treatment. Typically, multiple sessions are required, spaced several weeks apart, to achieve optimal results. During your consultation, I will provide you with a personalised treatment plan including the recommended number of sessions.
Most patients experience minimal discomfort during laser scar reduction treatments. The sensation can be likened to a mild tingling or snapping feeling on the skin.
Our laser scar reduction treatments are suitable for a wide range of skin colors. The advanced technology of the lasers allows for safe and effective treatment on various skin tones. During your consultation, I will assess your skin color and customise the treatment accordingly.
After laser scar reduction treatment, it is important to follow post-care instructions provided by our team. This may include keeping the treated area clean, avoiding direct sunlight, and applying recommended skincare products. It is also essential to protect your skin with sunscreen.
Laser scar reduction is a non-invasive treatment that typically requires minimal downtime. You can resume your daily activities immediately after the treatment. However, it is normal to experience some redness or mild swelling in the treated area, which usually subsides within a few hours or days.
The longevity of laser scar reduction results can vary depending on various factors, including the type and severity of the scar, individual skin characteristics, and lifestyle factors. Generally, the results are long-lasting, and with proper skincare and sun protection, the appearance of scars can be significantly improved.
